With much regret...
I am so sad to say that we lost our band creator, and very dear friend Ron Adams Sunday March 8th,early am. He put on the show of his life, and shortly thereafter had a massive heart attack and passed. He went out rockin'...just as he would have it, but way too soon for all he left behind.
This band is and cannot be any longer, for he was Adams...but this page and music will stay on this site as my tribute to him. I appreciate his friendship, constant support and words of encouragement. I have never met anyone who said anything but good things about Ron, he supported every musician in their endeavors..and I believe his spirit will continue on that way.
We will all miss you,
rock on friend...

Adams Rocket was formed in 1996 when two High School friends and former band mates Ron Adams and Ed Rockett got together to write and record a couple of songs for fun. For kicks they decided to send the recordings to a few producers and record companies. To their surprise, they were offered a recording contract from Ambassador Entertainment N.Y.C. , two weeks later they were in New York city recording their first album “Adams Rocket”. It was Produced by Mark Berry who had worked with the likes of Voivod and Joan Jett, The album was mastered at Sony N.Y.C. The band also filmed a video “She takes me away”, It got some modest airplay in the U.S. and some European markets. After two years things kinda stalled, Because of disagreements in music direction Ed Rockett decided to leave the band in late 1998. With Ron now doing Lead vocals the sound was much more powerfull and the band recorded their second album “The Power” in Late 1999 and then their third “State of the nation” in the summer of 2000. With the lineup consisting of Ron Adams, Barney Douglas, Matt Richmond and John Noffsinger A/R played many gigs, mostly in Midwest and Northern Mi. After Recording “Adams Rocket IV” in the fall of 2001 and “Fight for America” in 2002 the band decided to called it quits in the summer of 2003. Ron continued To write and record for the next three years “ Now Here This” in 2005 and “I Wanna Be” in 2007. In early 2008 after a few jam sessions Ron & Barney decided to give Adams Rocket another shot and found the magic was still there. After a few line-up changes the band is stronger than ever and has completed recordings on a new album “Live It Up” in Feb 2009. Adams Rocket has a unique sound combining modern alternative with classic rock and a touch of 70’s punk. Their live shows are very high energy and never boring! The bands main influences are AC/DC, VanHalen, The Ramones, Cheap Trick, Kiss and Thin Lizzy.
